Mountain Meadows Mead is a unique family-owned Meadery located in Westwood - in California's northern Sierra Nevada Mountains. We specialize in Meads and fruit wines made with honey, and have been in commercial production since 1996. We produce our Meads from scratch, using premium honeys and local mountain spring water.

Our Meads are world renowned, having won top awards in International Mead Competitions including the 1999 Mazer Cup. Since the 2002 Chicago International Mead and Cider Festival, we have medaled at every 'Meadfest' International Mead Festival - bringing home 8 gold and 5 silver medals. We just returned from the 2009 Meadfest in Denver, Colorado with 3 new medals! We won a Gold for our Dessert Mead, a Silver for our Cranberry, and a bronze for our Agave Mead.

Production is a family affair- Meadmasters Ron Lunder and Peggy Fulder get production, distribution, label and web design, and marketing help from son Nils, and twins Zeke and Sonya. We hope that you enjoy these Meads as much as we enjoy producing them.
