Mountain Meadows Mead is a unique family-owned Meadery located in Westwood - in California's northern Sierra Nevada Mountains. We specialize in Meads and fruit wines made with honey, and have been in commercial production since 1996. We produce our Meads from scratch, using premium honeys and local mountain spring water.

Our Meads are world renowned, having won top awards in International Mead Competitions including the 1999 Mazer Cup. Since the 2002 Chicago International Mead and Cider Festival, we have medaled at every 'Meadfest' International Mead Festival - bringing home 10 gold and 5 silver medals. At the 2010 Meadfest in Boulder, Colorado, we won a Gold for our Dessert Mead and Cranberry Mead, and a bronze for our semi-sweet Moonlight Mead.

Production is a family affair- Meadmasters Ron Lunder and Peggy Fulder get production, distribution, label and web design, and marketing help from son Nils, and twins Zeke and Sonya. We hope that you enjoy these Meads as much as we enjoy producing them.
